Brand new to the border, I would like to introduce myself. I have just moved into this vibrant region, and I am really enjoying learning about everything there is in this beautiful part of the world. I have worked within the sport and recreation industry for over ten years. Entering the industry as a tennis coach, my passion wasn’t truly ignited until I began working at one of Australia’s premium sports and aquatic centres, known as GESAC (Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre). I love working with the community, for the community. More importantly, I enjoy working with our team to find ways that we can make a difference, and assist in making a change, for the better!
Getting to know you, our members and customers, and ensuring that you have a number of options to keep fit and stay healthy – is where I get my drive every day. The Two Cities, One Community strategy excites me. Working in partnership with Albury City Council and City of Wodonga, to make things easier and more accessible for our communities, is what it’s all about. We want to ensure that we are providing access for everyone to come together year-round, and to break down the barriers in delivering an array of programs for our community to use and embrace.
I believe our members are the lifeblood of our facilities, and our team is passionate igniting the potential across all of our facilities, for you to enjoy. We are working tirelessly in preparation for the summer, to ensure that our facilities are established, and ready for you to come together with your friends and families.
Over the next month, I am really looking forward to seeing our facilities in full flight in preparation for summer. I also look forward to seeing the roll out of our health and fitness upgrades at the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre. These upgrades will include an array of gym upgrades including Virtual Fitness, 24/7 gym access and brand-new equipment for our Health and Wellness members. I will be across the facilities throughout the summer, so if you see me, make sure you say hello!
