Supporting a Healthy Workplace

Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities are currently undertaking the Victorian Government Workplace Achievement Program.

The Achievement Program is based on the principle that a healthy workplace is one where the environment, policies, practices and culture all support health and healthy behaviours.

The first step in the Achievement Program is the Foundations benchmark, which involves gaining organisational support and a commitment to becoming a healthy workplace.

We are proud to announce that Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities have achieved the initial Foundations benchmark. Our next step is start working towards the health priority areas, including healthy eating, alcohol and other drugs, smoking, physical activity and mental health and wellbeing.

The health priority areas are all areas where a few vital behaviour changes can have a major impact. By creating a healthy work place we hope to help our staff make healthier choices and improve the culture of our organisation overall.
