Tiger Cub Sports aims to educate children between the ages of 3-5 by putting the ‘FUN’ in fundamentals of movement, where key skills will be taught to support sport, dance, gymnastics and other physical recreation activities that we all know and love!
Did you know that active play is the best form of physical activity for children under the age of five years? Active play includes any type of activity that requires the use of large muscle groups!
Our program is built on the tried and tested physical literacy frameworks which supports the natural development of fundamental movement skills including ‘Object Control’ and ‘Loco-Motor Skills’.
With a small focus on AFL football and health and wellbeing education in each session, our clinic coaches will take participants on a journey that will cover multiple sports and the fundamental skills such as catch, kick, run, vertical jump, overhand throw, ball bounce, leap, dodge, punt, strike.
We believe fundamentals should remain consistent throughout the program. Progression/regression through overall objectives will be based on maturational development (not just chronological age) and technical/tactical ability.
