Albury Wodonga Mother’s Day Classic

What started as a chilly overcast morning, ended up a beautiful sunny day for the annual Albury Wodonga Mother’s Day Classic.

The Mother’s Day Classic is Australia’s largest breast cancer research fundraiser, and for the past 12 years, Albury Wodonga has shown they are keen to get on board in the fight against a disease that impacts 1 in 8 women. In 2019, Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities took over the management of the event for the first time.
We would like to thank all 551 people who attended and contributed to the success of the 2019 Albury Wodonga Mother’s Day Classic, including runners, walkers, fundraisers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters.

With only six weeks to get this year’s event organised, we are proud of how it turned out. It really was a team effort to get the event going and we could not have done it without the support of our community. We would like to thank the Rotary Club of Wodonga Central for their generous support, as well as Naomi and the team from Running FIT for jumping on board to create a wonderful pink party at one of our drink stations.Thank you to the volunteers from Brave Hearts and Inner Wheel for giving up your morning to assist in the running of the event.

Thank you to Bowens Entertainment for creating a fantastic atmosphere and sense of fun on the day, and to Happy Cat Donuts and Bites N Beverages for supplying delicious donuts, coffee and treats!
Thank you to all the sponsors who made a donation towards raffle prizes; Basq Beauty, Spa & Wellness, Peards Albury, Miss Macaron, Campbells Wines, Arnold’s Fruit Market Wodonga, Corner Cafe Co. and Full Circle Photography. And congratulations to our lucky prize winners!

Thanks to the Albury Wodonga community, we raised over $10,000 for NBCF research and projects. We can’t wait for next year’s event! 💗
